Dirk Anschütz is a New York Based Photographer

Hicks Henry Family Photography is a professional photo service founded by Dirk Anschütz and based in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  Our goal is to bring the skills, craft, and art necessary to produce a magazine or advertising shoot to family portraiture.

 Dirk Anschütz’ work has been published in magazines such as Time, Fortune, ESPN The Magazine, Marie Claire, Stern, Der Spiegel, and Working Mother.  He has worked for Mini Cooper, BMW, Adidas, Merck, BE Printers, Bravo, Bike NY, etc.

 Dirk had solo exhibitions at the DUMBO Arts Festival, Photoville in Brooklyn, The German House at NYU, The Phipps Art Center in Hudson, WI, Intermedia Arts Gallery in Minneapolis, the Theatre and Arts Center in Bloomington, MN, and the University of Minnesota.

 His work was shown on the Fence at Photoville in Brooklyn, the Slideluck Potshow at the New York Photo Festival, on aCurator.com, and various times on PDN Photo of the Day.

 His awards include American Photography (19, 27, 31), PDN Photography Annual (2012), International Photography Awards (2nd place Advertising, 2010), ASMP Images (3rd place, 2009) and Alt Pick Awards (1st place, 2008).

 He lives with his fiancé Susie and their son Ray in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  Dirk aims to achieve a good balance between taking pictures, playing soccer and chasing after his kid.
